Everything you need to monitor RBD

A complete platform for patients and clinicians — from raw sensor data to actionable clinical insights.

Real-Time Monitoring

Continuous tracking of movement, heart rate, and sleep stages using wearable sensors. Data streams live to your dashboard as you sleep.

Clinical Analytics

Professional-grade analysis of REM patterns, muscle tone, and movement episodes. Visualize trends over weeks, months, and years.

Secure Data Storage

Cloud storage with 256-bit AES encryption for all health data. HIPAA-aligned architecture with full audit logging for every access event.

Mobile Integration

Dedicated Android companion app with WearOS support. Collects accelerometer and heart rate data from your smartwatch while you sleep.

Provider Portal

Dedicated clinician dashboard for managing patients. Doctors can review session data, annotate events, and track treatment outcomes.

Longitudinal Tracking

Monitor RBD symptoms over time to identify trends, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and detect changes in disease progression.

Start monitoring in minutes

01

Create your account

Sign up as a patient or healthcare provider. Your account is secured and private from the moment you register.

02

Connect your wearable

Install the Android companion app and pair your WearOS smartwatch. The app collects heart rate and 3-axis accelerometer data automatically.

03

Sleep and monitor

Start a session each night. Your data syncs to the cloud and is analysed for REM sleep anomalies, movement episodes, and biometric patterns.

04

Review insights

Explore your dashboard for detailed charts and quality scores. Share reports with your neurologist or sleep specialist directly through the provider portal.

What is REM Sleep Behavior Disorder?

REM Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD) is a condition where the normal muscle paralysis that occurs during REM sleep is absent, causing people to physically act out their dreams — often violently.

RBD is strongly associated with neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Lewy body dementia, and multiple system atrophy. Early detection is crucial — patients diagnosed with RBD have up to an 80% chance of developing one of these conditions within 10 years.

Common symptoms

  • Physical movement during dreams — kicking, punching, thrashing
  • Vocalisation — shouting, talking, laughing during sleep
  • Complex nighttime behaviours — sitting up, getting out of bed
  • Injury to self or bed partner
80% risk of neurodegeneration within 10 years
0.5% of the general population affected
5–10yr average delay to diagnosis
Earlier detection = better outcomes

Continuous wearable monitoring can help detect RBD episodes that would otherwise go unrecorded between clinical visits.

Research roadmap

Our mission is to move from passive monitoring to active protection and ultimately to unlocking the biological triggers of RBD.

01
Live

Collect Data

Establish the foundation — continuous biometric collection from wearables during every sleep session.

  • Heart rate & accelerometer streaming
  • Sleep stage classification
  • A/B algorithm testing (v1 vs v2)
  • Doctor–patient data sharing
02
In development

Protect During Events

Intervene before physical harm occurs — wake the user at the earliest sign of an imminent RBD episode.

  • Real-time scoring every 30 seconds
  • Smartwatch haptic alerts
  • Graduated response (yellow → red)
  • Partner/caregiver push notifications
03
Planned

Discover Triggers

Collect pre-sleep metadata to find the lifestyle and physiological factors that precede RBD episodes.

  • Pre-sleep lifestyle logging
  • Medication & substance tracking
  • Stress & activity correlation
  • ML-driven trigger identification
04
Research

Blood Glucose Research

Investigate whether blood glucose fluctuations during sleep are a biological cause or predictor of RBD episodes.

  • CGM device integration
  • Nocturnal glucose profiling
  • Glucose–episode correlation studies
  • Clinical research data export
